Bubu is a little boy.
Behind his home is a big apple tree. Bubu loves climbing the tree. He also enjoys eating apples from the tree.
Bubu’s grandfather wants to visit the family. But there is no room for him in the house.
‘Bubu, Grandfather will stay in your room,’ says his mother.
Bubu smiles happily.
His father says, ‘But, Bubu, remember Grandfather is old. He needs rest. You must make a lot of noise in your room.’
‘Then where will I play?’ Bubu looks worried.
Father, mother and Bubu think hard. Then Bubu’s father says, ‘Let us cut that big tree. That will make space for Bubu to play.’
Bubu starts crying, ‘I love the tree. It gives me shade and fruit. Don’t cut it, Father.’
‘Yes, it is a nice tree,’ says his mother.
When Babu comes back from school the next day, he cannot find his toys in his room.‘Where are my toys?’ shouts Babu.
His mother takes him outside and points to the tree. On a thick branch of the tree, there is a small room.
‘We made a room on the tree for you.You can play there and Grandfather can rest in your room,’ explains Mother.
‘Yippee!’ Bubu is happy. He loves playing in his tree
house. The leaves of the tree sing to him.
